Hi Everybody...
I've been M.I.A. the past week,
and it's not because I don't
luuuuuurve you.
I've just been
crazy bananas busy.
Work is great.
Personal life is great.
Family and friends are incredibly great.
There are a few stressors
in my life,
but who doesn't have a few of those, right?
Stressors make you appreciate the great.
Here are some updates.
One that has begun, and
another that has just ended...
Stressors make you appreciate the great.
Here are some updates.
One that has begun, and
another that has just ended...
Update #1...
I am in the process of moving
and I am extremely excited about it.
Moving, itself, sucks.
But, I'm really excited to be moving
to a neighborhood that is
full of life, close to work,
and going to be a lot of fun. It's gonna rock.
Update #2...
Some of you know,
and some of you don't know,
I have been coaching a Middle School Girls Basketball team.
It was the first year I have done anything like it,
and I have to say,
without a doubt,
it was one of the
BEST
things I have ever done in my life.
Our season started out kind of "iffy."
We had 2 weeks off for Winter Break,
and then another week off because of the snow storm that hit the NW,
but about a month ago,
the girls started really getting what I was teaching them,
and I could see the shift in focus.
It was AMAZING to watch.
All of a sudden we started winning games,
and not because the other team was less skilled,
but because my girls were connecting
with and paying attention to one another.
It was awesome.
Our season ended on Thursday
and I was really sad to see it end. I had
"gifts" for all the girls that I said
I had found in our First Aid Kit,
because they all were injured, had something wrapped,
taped, iced, keeping an eye on...
it was pretty hilarious honestly.
So, I thought, "I should give Mara an ice pack, because
she probably went through 15 ice packs over the season...
And I'll give Lizzie band-aids, because she
would always come off the court with a gash on her leg or claw
marks on her face."
Yeah.... Claw marks... Lizzie was da bomb.
It was fun to highlight the girl's strengths,
but also poke fun at them a bit.
They have the best sense of humors around,
and are so caring and compassionate toward their teammates...
The other team?? Not so much... :)
So,
that ended and I am glad to have evenings back.
Also moving close to work will
also affect how much time I have...
So... what to do with myself??...
Well...
Stay tuned..
♥
Love,
liz xo
