only gowns

Oh boy...

Have I stumbled on a gem.

A while ago, when looking for a dress online,
I came across this website called OnlyGowns.com.

Thinking, "What a great, self-explanatory website!
I will find what I'm looking for here."
But what I found was so much more than I could have ever expected.

Since you are on a computer/iPad/smartphone
reading this blog,
I can assume that you know what Photoshop is.
If you know Photoshop,
you may also know about Photoshop disasters.
There is a website devoted to finding
and calling out Photoshop disasters.
It's a hilarious website worth checking out,
but the Only Gowns website
may have them beat.

Here are a few images I chose just to give you
a glimpse of what I'm talking about.

These dresses are from the "Fall Dress" category.

Does this woman have feet?

Well, she has feet, and blond hair now
(I prefer the blond, honestly. More natural.),
but is her leg ok?...

This next photo is from the "Autumn Dress" category...
because there's a difference.

... that is a tiny head.

You guys?!
I'm so bummed!
I should have gotten my Halloween costume
from here!

Is she a punk rock flapper?

Aaaaand I don't even know what's going on here.

If you're like me,
and missed a great opportunity to get
your Halloween costume from this website,
stop your crying
because you can get a Thanksgiving dress instead!
Because they have a category for Thanksgiving Day dresses...
like, the specific day...

How tall is she??

Wow. That is one big leg.

What is going on here?

Yup. That's a tiny head.

That just doesn't look right.

Nice hair.

Oh my god.

As you can see,
the pictures alone make the website amazing.
But there's so much more!

The layout of the website will give you some sensory overload
and they offers such great, logical deals!
(For Thanksgiving, they are offering 7% off all sales!...
yeah, there isn't anything before that 7.)
,

The dress categories are also logical and quite creative.
(there is a "Sex and the City" category, a "Leather Combinations" category,
and my personal favorite,
a "Mother" category...
Don't be shopping in the Leather Combinations category, Mothers!!)

But don't miss out on the dress descriptions, because those are magical.
(this was taken from a dress entitled Magnificent Mermaid Cut Bridal Gown:
"Accentuate the colors of emotion as well as pure bridal pleasure with this magnificent mermaid cut wedding gown. The strapless neckline and the elaborate sequin embellished bodice epitomize the true substance of bridal appeal. The flowing train is sure to make you appear supremely charismatic."... Supremely.)

Oh man.

Such a good website. :)

Love,
liz xo
