Something is going on in the universe right now.
I don't know if it's we're all becoming more conscious of our existence,
or our relationship to others or to the world,
or if it's something else entirely.
But it's pretty remarkable.
I came across a quote from the
Dalai Lama
and it is so insightful and true,
and I thought about how relevant it fits with
what I feel is happening with us
right now.
I hope,
that with this change that is occurring,
we are moving away from
the superficial,

and toward the real, the passion-filled,

The Dalai Lama was asked what surprised him the most
in this world.
He replied, "Man,
because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die,
and then he dies having never really lived."
Pretty intuitive.
Let's hope that we can begin to let go
of our pasts, our guilt,
our dependencies,
and just live a life of
love and passion and light.
Here are a few other lovely quotes from
the Dalai Lama:
“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.”
“Choose to be optimistic, it feels better.”
“Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.”
“Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.”
“We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.”
Big hugs :)
